After The
aim of this league is to provide the youth of the Eastern Home Counties
with the best standard of football excellence outside of youth teams
representing the Coca-Cola Football League Clubs. All of the teams competing
in this league are drawn from the senior clubs in Essex, Cambridgeshire,
Suffolk, Hertfordshire,London and Middlesex and who wish to provide
their youth players with probably the highest standard of football available
in the South East. This with a view to finding the players of the future
for their Senior XI.
Currently clubs in membership of the league are entered from the ranks
of the Coca-Cola League, all levels of the Ryman League, Dr. Martens,
Ridgeons and Essex Senior Leagues. Many players from this competition
have gone on to compete in all of these leagues, with perhaps the most
notable of these being Neil Harris, previously with Millwall. There
have also been many successes by our teams in the F.A. Youth Challenge
Cup against the youth teams of established Coca-Cola League sides and
in several instances notable wins over Premiership opposition.
